So Big Brother Canada just dropped their first cryptic social media post for 2020 so now everyone goes crazy with theories and ideas which are usually always wrong. Big Brother Canada has proven to be superior (in my opinion) to the US version but there’s always room for improvement. As one of the original pre-jury flops I thought everyone would be dying to hear what I have to say so here are eight things I would love to see happen on this upcoming season.
A Girl’s World
I am hoping after the heels of the “The Pretty Boys” (the worst alliance name ever), we find ourselves a group a women who wholeheartedly want to work and win together. We’ve never seen it happen. Sure we saw Paras and Kaela make the final 2 but let’s be clear they didn’t work together to get there. Remember BB6 when the final 4 were all female, ugh one can dream of a repeat!
GET THE F*CKING SHOWMANCE OUT BEFORE THE JURY! We’ve seen a member of a showmance make it to the final 3 in every season except season 7. It’s completely stupid to keep them in the game beyond the jury. It’s dumb because it’s one less jury vote for you if you’re sitting next to a member of a showmance in the final 2. Some players argue keeping the showmance in the game creates a shield for them, I am just here to say those players are idiots.
I want high level strategy. I am a die hard super fan who loves the masterminding element of the game. Gimmicks like “farts in a jar”, pranks and all that bullshit is funny but it’s mostly filler. I want to see alliances sit down and bring a higher level of strategy to the game. Sure we miss a lot of the strategy in the broadcasted episodes versus the feeds, I just wish Big Brother would inject more strategy elements in to the actual episodes. I want players who will think outside the box when it comes to formulating plays. A lot of times players are so scared of a twists, they struggle to take a beat and formulate a strategic play to use the twist to their advantage.
A Solid Villain
Canadians are nice, we get it but this is BIG F*CKING BROTHER. I want someone to go in there, be the villain and completely OWN IT. We’ve had villains play who didn’t know they were the villain but I want someone to go in there making sure they are the most hated houseguest. Being the villain or hated doesn’t mean you can’t win the game. Evel Dick showed the combination of strategy and villain tendencies is a winning combination.
First Boot Boys Club
Mark Sexy Ass Chrysler is the only male to be evicted first. Women tend to be the “easiest” person to boot first. Mainly because the men are too scared to go after each other. I would love to see another strong male player get the boot first. Extra points if the first HOH is a bro who has the balls to take a shot at another bro.
Age Is Nothing But A Number
I have no respect for any BBCAN6 players simply because of what they did to Queen Rozina. It’s sad to be that players who fall into the older demographic get steam rolled by these young showmanances and wannabe Instagram influencers. What people fail to understand is age doesn’t matter in the Big Brother, a vote is a vote, so rally them up and make some moves! Shout out to Karen for breaking the curse, but that’s one out of 8 seasons.
A New Canadian
We are so use to seeing the typical sexy ass East coast man and the cute lovable girl who just couldn’t wait to play Big Brother but I want to see someone who represents a part of the country that we’ve never seen before. I learned a lot from Kyra and their journey, I want to see more stories like that. That’s the beauty of Big Brother is seeing unique people from different walks of life interact. Imagine someone from Nunavut or Prince Edward Island.
Anyway, thought I’d share some thoughts. Maybe the universe will grant my wishes! We’ll be cover Big Brother Canada season 8! Make sure you are subscribed to THYRST on Apple Podcast & Spotify . We will be doing weekly Big Brother Canada episodes.
